Authorization:
If my application is approved, I authorize First National Bank in Brookings
to do the following: draft $100 from my existing checking account and charge my
new credit card account $200. The funds will be deposited in my new savings account
at First National Bank to secure my new credit card account.
Finance
Charges: Your Account will also be subject to the following finance charges,
each of which will be billed to your Account as a Purchase:
Periodic
Finance Charges: A FINANCE CHARGE is imposed on Purchases beginning the
date the Purchase is posted to your Account. No FINANCE CHARGE will be imposed
on your Purchases if you pay your New Balance in full by the Payment Due Date
shown on your monthly statement, including any Cash Advances or ATM transactions
owed on your Account, and there are no Cash Advances or ATM transactions outstanding
on your Account after the Billing Cycle Closing Date. A FINANCE CHARGE is imposed
on Cash Advances and ATM transactions beginning on the date they are obtained
and continues until the balance of your Account is paid in full. There is no time
in which you can pay the balance of Cash Advances or ATM transactions in order
to completely avoid a FINANCE CHARGE.
Computing
Periodic Finance Charges: The FINANCE CHARGE is determined
by multiplying the Average Daily Balance for Purchases and for Cash Advances outstanding
during the monthly billing cycle by the monthly Periodic Rate. The monthly Periodic
Rate for Purchases and Cash Advance balances is 1.65% which is equivalent to an
ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE of 19.8%. The minimum FINANCE
CHARGE is $.50.
The
Average Daily Balance is computed by taking the beginning balance of your Account
on each day, calculated separately for Purchases and Cash Advances, adding new
Purchases and/or Cash Advances and subtracting any payments or credits to get
each day's daily balance. The daily balances are then added together and divided
by the number of days in the billing cycle to get the Average Daily Balance.
Cash
Advances: In addition to the monthly calculation of the Cash Advance
FINANCE CHARGE, there is an additional FINANCE CHARGE
of 3% (minimum $3.00) for each Cash Advance posted to your Account that
month.
Collateral
Savings Account Disclosure. An interest rate of 2.97% will be paid only
for that portion of the daily balance of your Collateral Savings Account that
is greater than $2,000.00. The annual percentage yield on this portion of your
Collateral Savings Account is 3.00%. You will be paid this rate for at least 30
calendar days. No interest is paid on any portion of the daily balance in your
Collateral Savings Account which is $2,000.00 or less. If the rate decreases,
you will be notified in writing at least 30 calendar days before the new rate
takes effect. The annual percentage yield assumes interest remains on deposit
until the Collateral Savings Account is closed. A withdrawal of interest will
reduce earnings. Interest for your Collateral Savings Account will be paid using
the simple interest method and will be credited to your Collateral Savings Account
on the last business day of the quarter. Interest is compounded quarterly.
Interest begins to accrue on the business day you deposit any non-cash item (for
example, checks). You must deposit $200.00 to open this Collateral Savings Account.
We use the daily
balance method to calculate the interest on your Collateral Savings Account. This
method applies a daily periodic rate to the principal in the Collateral Savings
Account each day.
There
are no fees associated with this Collateral Savings Account. This Collateral Savings
Account is pledged by you to secure your credit card Account with us and, accordingly,
you may not withdraw either the principal or interest in this Collateral Savings
Account until 60 days after you have closed your credit card Account with us,
and paid the balance owed on the account, including interest and fees, in full.
We reserve the right to at any time require not less than seven (7) days' notice
in writing before any withdrawal from an interest-bearing account. This Collateral
Savings Account is not capable of electronic fund transfers.
